Yu is China’s worst racer. People believe she is only on the team because of her father being a high ranking official. However she is dedicated and professionals and the higher ups in china see that and have learned to respect how reliable she is. Although she does not get as much race time as the rest of her team she is out practicing more than any other racer in the league and she is getting better every day. Yu is also disliked by a lot of China because she has an American mother who refused to give her her father’s last name. Being multicultural is not uncommon in Minos but it is uncommon amongst Chinese racers. Yu is bisexual. Yu is five foot two and dyes her hair blonde. Yu and her mother have a very loving relationship and they talk every day, somehow even though they live on opposite sides of the city. Yu has a close group of friends and tends to stay in at night and try and ignore the public eye as much as possible. Yu loves a good movie and movies can seem like the only thing she’ll talk about. Even bringing them up over the radio in the middle of the race. People believe her lack of focus is what is keeping her from being a good racer. In truth it is fear. Having gotten in an accident in her first major race, Yu has never fully recovered from the shell shock. Every time she gets in a car it is a struggle but that is not going to stop her. It is a fight but one that is getting easier to win with herself everyday.
